ABOUT GIRLYPOP

GirlyPop Sticker Shop was built out of a deep desire to genuinely express the thoughts and feelings so many of us are having while living through these absolutely unhinged times. I started making my designs into stickers first because they are so fun, accessible, versatile, and great at spreading messages. Now, the shop is in the process of expanding to sell all kinds of products with the help of a larger print shop, but the designs are all still my originals. Though some of my designs have been deemed "controversial," "rude," or "extreme" by others, I say they are all perfectly reasonable responses to what's happening in the world today. No other platform out there will allow the full range of honest expression I want to convey (trust me, I've tried) and that is why GirlyPop was born. Here I have created a space where the sentiments so many people share right now can no longer be censored, removed, or silenced. This space was created for genuine expression and inclusion, and I'm very proud to provide that. The world desperately needs more good humans who are willing to speak up. HI, I'M BRITTANY
I am the Owner and Designer of GirlyPop Sticker Shop! I'm a born-and-raised Oregonian, a devout feminist, and a constant advocate for inclusion and human rights. I have a degree in Psychology from the U of O and a long, varied history of working with marginalized populations.
As a child, I was raised in a Christian church, and even back then, I can vividly recall feeling uncomfortable, unsure of what I was being told, and out of place. These days, I call myself a "spiritual atheist" and I'm much happier embracing witchy vibes and pagan traditions, which you can see in some of my designs.

HOW GIRLYPOP CAME TO BE
When I was 28, I very suddenly and unexpectedly became a widow with two sons under two years old. That loss was devastating. But it kick-started a profound change in me, and eventually allowed me to become a much stronger, more resilient, confident, and independent version of myself, without which I never would have started this shop.

SO WHAT'S GOING ON NOW?
Today, I am a partner to a wonderful, hardworking man and a stepmom to an incredible teenage daughter. Our little family of five lives in a historic home, in a tiny nowhere town, with way too many plants and animals, and that's exactly how we like it. This shop is my passion project, and my way of spreading messages of resistance to all of the injustice surrounding us. It may be small, but it matters to me. Thank you so much for being a part of it.
